Saving Sophie is a five-part docuseries. It’s a uniquely intimate story about a husband and wife learning to navigate questions of life, death, meaning, memory, and spirituality after the return of an aggressive form of leukemia.

At its heart, Saving Sophie is a marriage story. It covers a three-year period via a mixture of home and professional footage.

Paul has been involved in the project since 2021 as editor and co-director. His task was to distill the story from hundreds of hours of raw material, as well as direct the film’s final sequences.
